I am truly sorry.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Elegant and terse, where <a href=\"http:\/\/harryallen.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/09\/kanyes-apology.jpg\"  target=\"_blank\">his original, much-derided &#8220;apology&#8221;<\/a> was mouthy and glib, the remorseful statement may go a long way toward repairing West&#8217;s shattered image, particularly when coupled to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hulu.com\/watch\/95621\/the-jay-leno-show-kanye-west\"  target=\"_blank\">his earlier, highly emotional appearance on the debut episode of <em>The Jay Leno Show<\/em><\/a> that same evening.<\/p>\n<p>The same probably isn&#8217;t true, however, for <a href=\"http:\/\/harryallen.info\/?p=5154\"  target=\"_blank\">the Twitterers who salted the artist with racist invective<\/a> in the wake of his outburst.
