R&B singers are gonna need new choruses: Adding scientific imprimatur to what sane women have long known, a recent Penn State survey of North American sex therapists concluded that, on average, good couple’s sex lasts 3 to 13 minutes.
In a release, the group
rated a range of time amounts for sexual intercourse, from penetration of the vagina by the penis until ejaculation, that they considered adequate, desirable, too short and too long.
The average therapists’ responses defined the ranges of intercourse activity times: “adequate,” from 3-7 minutes; “desirable,” from 7-13 minutes; “too short” from 1-2 minutes; and “too long” from 10-30 minutes.
The researchers noted that
“Unfortunately, today’s popular culture has reinforced stereotypes about sexual activity. Many men and women seem to believe the fantasy model of large penises, rock-hard erections and all-night-long intercourse. ”
Past research has found that a large percentage of men and women, who responded, wanted sex to last 30 minutes or longer.
“This seems a situation ripe for disappointment and dissatisfaction,” said lead author Eric Corty, associate professor of psychology.
Unlike the present situation, obviously.

3-13 minutes??? Whom are they polling?
Are they even serious? 3-13 minutes is a total deal breaker and that’s all I’ll say about that.
If ya look at the qualifying statement “from penetration of the vagina by the penis until ejaculation…” 7-13mins yea ok…..BUT this surely must cum/come within the context of 15-30mins of arousal/stimulus, 10-20mins of afterglow/can we talk, followed by 5-10 mins to re-group…..with the option to start all over again… 😉 LOL
My ex considered \a quickie\ to be anything that lasted less than 2 hours.
