Is Mariah Carey getting stupider with age?
Like most, I didn’t get the Nick Cannon connection, when I heard she’d secretly married him. That is, until I read The Daily Mail, yesterday.
According to the paper, citing contacts at People,
Mariah Carey’s first encounter with her new husband took place only a month ago on the set of her new music video, it has been revealed.
Mariah, 38, first met the actor, who is 11 years her junior, on the set of “Bye Bye” in March.
They enjoyed a whirlwind romance before Mariah was spotted with an engagement ring last week.
A source told People.com the newlyweds didn’t know each other before Carey’s video shoot in the Caribbean on March 26th.
“Nick was cast as the romantic lead and was flown to Antigua where they met so basically their romance started during the shoot.
“She’s very into religion and Nick is very into religion. That’s something they bonded on.”
It’s called a whirlwind romance because it’s sudden, quick, and powerful, but also because it leaves a lot of junk behind when it’s over.

My question is, why on Earth was he chosen as her lead to begin with? I just see Nick Cannon as the little drummer boy. Maybe I’m wrong. She could have at least called Selita Ebanks before marrying.
