That is so true, that’s why I don’t like non-musicians in my sessions or non-producers because they can kill the mood. It doesn’t sound like what they think a record should sound like in the early stages of making a record, but it always sounds “weird” when you’re trying to innvoate or be original, somewhat. I love hip-hop, but my my love for hip-hop has made me fall in love with other genres because of all the digging I do/did for samples.
