Where’s Your Head At?

What the voters feel.

The New York Times‘s “Election Day WordTrain,” above, shows the aggregate mind states of the concerned electorate. Readers enter a one-word description in fields the Times provided on the page. Above, in black, is, over the course of the day, so far, how all respondents feel.

Below, McCain voters, in red, describe their emotions:

McCain-ites keepin’ it real.

Here’s what Obama-ites are feeling, in blue:

O-BA-MA! O-BA-MA! O-BA-MA!

While the train is changing continuously, as it moderates users’ input, apparently, everyone is more or less “nervous,” while both McCain and Obama voters are “hopeful.”

My entry was “interested.”

They didn’t have a choice for McKinney, so I chose neither.

My word was “disgusted” which is how I feel about both the major parties these days.
